Move, Breathe, Restore — Yoga in Congleton
An Inclusive Practice for Every Body
My classes are designed to be welcoming and accessible to everyone—whether it’s your very first time on the mat or you’re a seasoned Savasana expert.
Together, we’ll explore the connection between body and breath through gentle, mindful movement. Each practice is an opportunity to slow down, take your time, and discover how to feel comfortable in body, breath and mind.
Body: greater sense of ease during movement of joints and muscles, therefore a benefit to the neuromusculare system.
Breath: improved response of the respiratory system, enabling it to meet the needs of changes in effort, emotions, and posture.
Mind: a greater sense of well-being, both of internal and external environment
These sessions are not fast-paced, the intention is to create space for awareness, presence, and a deeper understanding of your body and mind.
I’’m Gill, a 500-hour qualified teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga. I also hold the British Wheel of Yoga Certificate in Teaching Yoga to Children and Teens, which means my classes are thoughtfully designed to meet each age group at their stage of development. Sessions are playful, creative, and calming—encouraging young people to connect with their bodies, breath, and emotions in a healthy, positive way.
Yoga has been part of my life for more than 15 years. I first discovered it through local classes, but often felt something was missing. That curiosity led me to train as a teacher and explore what yoga could truly offer beyond the surface.
With a background in biology, I bring a deep fascination with the human body into my teaching. I love sharing insights into how postures and movement affect us on a physiological level in ways that feel practical and empowering.
But yoga with me isn’t all science and seriousness—it’s also about joy. My classes are a welcoming space to move, breathe, and explore, while discovering how to care for your body in ways that support your everyday life.
